Antique silver Elgin pocket watch and chain.
The watch has a seven jewel stem-winding movement, grade 311, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 16,177,482 which dates it back to 1912.
The watch measures 46.5mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 925 sterling silver and there are marks inside the screw-on case back for the Keystone Watch Company. The case is in good condition and has nice crisp engine turned detail to the back, with a vacant cartouche to the centre.
The acrylic lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial looks lovely to the naked eye… through a jeweller’s loupe, there is a short very faint hairline next to the sub seconds dial. Red outer five minute markers.
The watch comes with a single silver chain, 24cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. Hallmarked for 1910.
The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
