The back uprights almost like panelled columns terminating in scrolled foliate finials. The padded swept arms having scrolls and acanthus gilt carved features , with small carved tassels on the outside of the arm. A small row of nulling above the egg and dart conical turned and carved front legs, with the back legs being of square form and slightly sweeping out almost forming a sabre.

The original Aubusson tapestry has faded colours, with quality stitching to form ornate pictures expressing its high quality craftsmanship of the day. The tapestry depicts a central cartouche surrounded by garlands of foliage with a face central to the seat.

This is a fantastic country house settee and in original untouched condition.
Overall the settee is in excellent sturdy condition and does have losses and rips to the upholstery, with some minor losses and ware to the gilding commensurate with age.
