These torba were used to decorate the side of a camel during a Turkmen wedding procession, these were prized possessions and formed part of the wedding dowry. The were kept as heirlooms and displayed inside the yurt. This example is of fine weave and has three ''Salor'' style turreted guls to the central panel, surrounded by a very well drawn Turkmen boxed flower inner border. The torba retains some of the original long tassels.The torba is in excellent condition with very slight wear and excellent pile.
