Antique Turkish Oushak carpet of very large size, the carpet has a superb warm red ground.

Circa 1880.

This outstanding carpet is from the Turkish town of Oushak, these carpets are sought after by interior designers and private buyers to furnish beautiful interiors. the soft colours are easy on the eye and allow an interior to be built up around them. This example is of an excellent large room size, with the sought after soft red ground and the small medallion and borders in soft pastel colours.

The carpet is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile.

The carpet has been hand washed and ready for use or display.

The carpet is suitable for normal domestic floor use and would grace a finest of living rooms.
