Thomas Bush Hardy RBA 1842-1897.Marine painter and watercolourist.Born in Sheffield.Travelled in Holland and Italy where some of his finest pictures were executed.Exhibited at SS —1872-97(elected RBA 1884) RA,and NWS.Hardys prolific costal scenes,achieved enormous popularity. ‘ On the Maas,Holland ‘signed watercolour, inscribed on the Maas ,dated 1882 ,image size 33x49.5cms, framed size 55x71 cms; provenance: with Baron Fine Art ,Chester .Well presented with modern giltwood frame, double mount and True Vue Museum Glass.
