Superb Antique French Burr Walnut Louis XVI Bed

This exceptional Antique French bed is a beautiful example of Louis XVI elegance, dating from the early years of the last century. Crafted in richly figured burr walnut, the bed displays stunning grain patterns that give depth, warmth, and character to every surface.

The headboard and footboard are finely panelled and cross-banded, framed with delicate marquetry inlay that highlights the clean, architectural lines typical of the Louis XVI style. Subtle yet refined gilt bronze mounts add a touch of understated opulence without overpowering the natural beauty of the wood.

Standing on tapered legs with original brass caps, the bed has a graceful, well-balanced presence.

A truly superb piece of French craftsmanship, this bed would make a striking centrepiece in a traditional or eclectic interior, offering history, quality, and enduring style in equal measure.

The Bed rails have been converted to allow for a standard UK 5FT wide bed. It also comes with Bespoke base (will require mattress)
