A 19th-century mahogany bureau of pleasing small proportions. The fall-front opens to reveal a fitted interior with pigeon holes and small drawers, providing practical and well-organised storage. Below are four graduated drawers, each fitted with period-style brass handles. Raised on shaped bracket feet, the bureau has a well-balanced stance and a warm, rich patina developed over time.Item Reference:

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. The bureau shows staining and watermarks to the top, consistent with age and use. There is an old historic patch repair to one corner (pictured) and is structurally sound. One side displays noticeable fading. General marks, scuffs and scratches throughout the piece commensurate with age. Overall, the piece is sturdy, practical and full of character.
