Beautifully detailed 19th century Grand Tour watercolour of the Forum of Nerva in Rome by the italian artist Mariano de Franceschi (1849-1896). Mariano de Franceschi studied at the Academia di San Luca in Rome, made his debut in Rome in 1876 at the annual exhibition ''Amatori e Cultori'' with a still life, he exhibited his work on numerous occasions, including the national exhibition in Turin in 1884. He also exhibited in Rome, in 1888, Capri and Venice, among other cities.
