Chest Of Drawers Rare 18th Century Norfolk Chest Oak C1780

Here we have a very rare George III Oak Norfolk chest of drawers c1780. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. There is a two plank Oak top with canted corners and a thumb moulded edge. There are seven drawers and a small cupboard in a typical Norfolk chest configuration. The drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and thumb mouldings to the edge. There are original blue Georgian paper lined drawers and beautiful brass swan neck handles. The central cupboard has a fantastic inlaid starburst and and chequered string inlay in Holly and Ebony. There is a shaped frieze below the top again typical of the location and period of this chest and as you would expect the whole sits on bracket feet. A super period chest in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 93 cm wide 47 cm deep 105 cm high.
