Antique Uzbek Lakai tribe uut kap ilgich, shield wall hangings for the yurt.

Circa 1900.

Uut kap ilgich are shield shaped hangings that usually formed part of a brides dowry; this example is silk twist embroidery on black wool cloth.

The condition is excellent with very slight signs of use.
