Antique Regency Mahogany Secretaire Chest of Drawers C1800 W6373/8.5

Description

Quality antique regency mahogany secretaire chest of drawers and dating from around 1800. It has a reeded edge to the top above one long deep drawer front which opens to reveal a beautiful interior of satinwood featuring a small central panelled secret door inlaid with ebony stringing opening to reveal a secret compartment with small drawer. To either side are various small drawers and pigeon holes and it has a tooled leather writing surface. This is above three further graduating drawers all of which are mahogany lined with turned mahogany knob handles and it stands on bracket feet.

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany oozing the charm and character of the georgian regency period.
