Castleforge Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1880s.
Internally there are assorted pigeon holes and small drawers with a triple baize writing surface with mahogany pen and ink tray to one side and with the centre rising to make a lovely writing slope. There are three drawers to each pedastal all of which are pine lined with mahogany turned knob handles standing on a plinth base on castors. The desk separates into three pieces for ease of transporting.
Measures: 43" high X knee height to desk 28" X 24" deep X 46" wide
In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany oozing all the charm and character of the victorian period.
