Antique Uzbek Lakai 'dasterkhan' eating cloth.
Circa 1900/20.
This example woven for use on special occasions, has a multi coloured design embroidered in silk floss onto a black wool ground. It was probably made by the Lakai tribe in southern Uzbekistan.
The condition is excellent with only very slight wear and no repairs, the dasterkhan is backed with printed Russian cotton, it was re-backed in 2014.
