FAQs

Preservation requires dusting with a dry cloth, avoiding direct sunlight to prevent timber drying, and occasionally applying microcrystalline wax to nourish the unfinished or historic wood surface.

A vintage oak bench functions well in a hallway, along a dining table, or as a statement seating piece in a living room, contrasting effectively with modern minimal architecture.

Authenticity is identified through natural timber oxidisation, hand-forged metal hardware, authentic patina from decades of use, and traditional joinery methods rather than modern fasteners.

These pieces are typically constructed from solid hardwoods such as oak or pine, featuring mortise and tenon joinery alongside functional iron or steel folding mechanisms to allow for modular configuration.

Antique church benches and folding pews were traditionally crafted for ecclesiastical spaces, assembly halls, and chapels during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries to provide functional and space-saving communal seating.
