Antique Rustic Hall Bench

Description

A lovely antique bench with a wonderful rustic patina, likely dating from the late 19th Century. The seat is made from one plank of oak with a wonderfully gnarled and marked surface. It stands on shaped ends joined by a stretcher, possibly later than the seat but nonetheless the whole piece displays beautifully and is a lovely piece of country furniture.

It is in good condition and it is strong and sturdy. There are some signs of historic woodworm which has all been treated as a precaution. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
