Description

Antique silver Thomas Russell pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a Swiss 7-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has some light scratching.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for London 1919. The case is in lovely condition with nice crisp engine turned detail to the hinged case back, and the stepped design typical of Thomas Russell watches.

The watch has a glass lens. There are a couple of chips to the bevelled edge and the odd minor mark.

The signed dial has a small strip of damage to the edge but this is mostly covered by the bezel.

The watch comes with an unusual single chain, 28cm long including the T-bar and the clasp, hallmarked on the T-bar for 1898.

The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
