Antique Irish Mahogany Chest Of Ten Drawers.

An unusual Irish mahogany chest of ten drawers. The top, with reeded edge, crossbanded in satinwood with inlaid centre oval panel, above five drawers either side of a central division each crossbanded in satinwood with dovetailed pine linings and brass swan neck handles, above a reeded bottom mould with shaped bracket feet. An interesting piece with country house construction , good colour and patina, a few historical old repairs to the crossbanding round the drawers otherwise a useful piece with good storage and smart enough to go into a reception room if needed and only shallow in depth. Northern Ireland Circa 1830. Provenance - the late Miss Johanna Vardon , The National Foaling Bank, Meretown House, Newport , Shropshire.
