Antique Omega full hunter pocket watch, 1925.
The watch has a high grade 17 jewel stem-winding movement, calibre 40.6S.T2.17P, which is working nicely. The calibre tells us that the movement diameter is 40.6mm, savonette (hunter) configuration, T2 transformation 2 (the second change to the original calibre) and 17P 17 pierres / jewels.
The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 7,240,315 which dates it back to 1925.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has been engraved, ‘Presented to Mr S T Jennings as a token of esteem by his colleagues of the Lands Department on his promotion to The Titles Office, 27.8.1937 (so probably relates to HM Land Registry).
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the 10ct gold filled Moon model made by the English watch case maker Dennisons for Omega. The case is in good condition, just a little unevenness to the back. The front has a cartouche with Mr Jenning’s initials.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition (some white reflection showing in the photo).
The signed dial looks good to the naked eye. If viewed closely, there is a short hairline to the edge, mostly covered by the bezel. Original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
