A very fine quality 19th Century brass fire screen in the Rococo manner, fully restored and polished. The shaped and curved protective wire mesh is set within an intricately detailed cast brass frame with beautiful motifs comprising of flowerheads, scrolling foliate, ruffles, acanthus leaves, s and c scroll detail throughout, surmounted with an elegant pierced carrying handle with diamond pattern and c-scroll detail. The wire mesh itself is adorned to the central reserve with further decorative brass motifs comprising of an elaborate arrangement of scrolling foliate and ruffles, supported on elegant out-scrolling trestle foot.
