Adriano Schiumerini (1927 – 1990) was an Italian artist from Alessandria, Piedmont, North West of Italy. He was a painter who enjoyed great popularity in the 60s - 70s and this picture is a genuine expression of that successful period.

In this painting, the red colour is the leading player of an illusive and warm atmosphere, achieved using multiple tones and shades of red from which the naturally transparent glasses appear and become visible by what is around them and what can be seen through them.
