Size: 4ft 0in x 2ft 0in (122 x 60cm).

Afghan Baluch sofreh (eating cloth) these were placed on the ground for food to be served on.

Circa 1920.

This example is woven with a mixture of plain flat weave with the 'wheat ear' design in weft work, there is also weft work decoration to the chevron kilim ends.

The sofreh is in excellent condition with slight wear, there is a small spot of colour run on the reverse, see image; this is reflected in the price.

The sofreh is suitable for light domestic use as a floor kilim.
