Antique Heriz Carpet Runner Hand Woven

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a beautiful Heriz runner carpet from Northwest Persia, dating from around 1920.

The soft woollen carpet is hand woven and has typical Heriz design, with three latch hook medallions to the central field enclosed by triple borders.

This has a very appealing colour palette with it's warm rich coral field and abrashed medallions ranging from a light to deep indigo. The triple borders also feature indigo as well as a soft orange shade.

The carpet is in very good ready to use condition with ends and selvedges complete and an even pile. It measures 288 cms by 98 cms.
