Gilt and Gesso has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
An extremely rare set of oversized, hand forged fire tools, almost certainly estate made for a large fireplace, most probably country house fire tools that measure apx 128cm tall and operated using 2 hands, an impressive set.

The natural wrought iron, heavy gauge fire tools each have a central twist column and handle to the top, it requires 2 hands to operate reliably, a striking set with a poker, a log fork and spade end which is likely for clearing out the burned out out fire.

We believe these to be late 19th century and almost certainly a custom made, estate made set.
