Dragoncharger Antiques has dated this Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Bowl to the 1890s.
High-quality cloisonné with skilled brass wire work and multi- coloured enamels. Central decoration of finely rendered cloisonne enamel birds sitting on branches within a tree. Karakusa flowers, pionies, grasses and a variety of geometrical patterns. The dark green enamel is unique to this era.
Condition: Excellent condition and good circular shape. Minor rim joining imperfection (shown in photo).
