Antique Yew Wood Bachelors Chest of Drawers

1900 - 1920
Description

A stunning antique yew wood bachelors chest of drawers. This was made in England in the Georgian revival style, it dates from around the 1920’s period.

The quality is outstanding and this has a very useful design. It it fairly small and compact, with plenty of storage space inside the generous drawers. The top unfolds and rests on slide out supporting stretchers, the inner top has a leather top surface so this can be used as a desk / bureau. It stands on nicely shaped bracket feet, the drawers and top edges are finely cross banded. The yew wood has a gorgeous patina and stunning grain patterns.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.

Depth – 15 inches , 38 cm
