Antique Georgian Mahogany Bowfront Chest of Drawers C.1800

Description

A George III mahogany bowfront chest of drawers of compact form, the two short drawers over two long graduated drawers all fitted with pressed brass rosette ring handles, above a sweeping lower apron and raised on splayed feet.

The less-common two-over-two drawer configuration offers substantial storage within a modest, lower-profile footprint, while the shallow bowfront curve eases the depth at the corners making it exceptionally practical for a narrow entrance hall, bedroom alcove or positioned beneath a window sill.

Very good antique condition, displaying a deep patina and surface wear consistent with age. Structurally sound with smooth-running drawers, clean throughout and ready for immediate placement in the home.
