Description

A very nice example of a double Edwardian bed. This bed has lovely square tube iron, with fabulous detail in the decorative castings and clamps, lovely detail in all. Original urn style finials and dip rail have been cleaned and highlighted.

Professionally restored with all joints checked for a solid and secure fit. The siderails have been adapted to be able to take slats or a bed base.

Whole frame shot blasted and primed prior to hand pant finish in Jet Black colour waxed over to protect and give a gentle shine.

Foot Height 110cm

Side Rail Height 37.5cm

Overall Width 138cm

Suitable for standard Double mattress

Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply mini box bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height.

The bed is photographed on slats with one of our Chartres mattresses. We can also supply hand-made mattresses in all comfort choices. Please see our web site or email for full specifications and prices.

Bedsteads have been sourcing, restoring and retailing antique beds and bedroom furniture for over 30 years.

We have our own workshops located along side our showroom in a beautiful medieval barn seven miles south of Bristol.
