A fine quality Edwardian period kidney shaped desk. Well constructed in solid mahogany with attractive mahogany veneers. Decorated with boxwood inlaid stringing throughout and tulip wood banding to the drawer fronts. The top fitted with a sumptuous tan coloured leather writing surface finished with gilt tooling. With a charming open fretwork brass gallery to the rear. With a series of 5 drawers (all lockable, key supplied) all fitted with their original solid brass handles. All standing on elegant turned, tapering, reeded legs which terminate in their original solid brass castors. This desk is finished to the rear so it could be free-standing within a room if desired. Sympathetically repolished in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent condition, ready to go straight into the home or office.
