Antique Doxa goliath pocket watch, c1910s.

The watch has a nicely jewelled stem-winding movement, identified as by Doxa, which is working well. The movement is protected by an inspection lens and also an inner hinged cover which has some surface scratches.

The watch measures 66mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop so it is larger than the standard 50mm pocket watch. The nickel case has a small mark to the bezel, and very slight unevenness to the hinged case back, but overall it is in nice condition for a 1910s piece.

The glass lens is in good condition.

The enamel dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. It is signed with the name of the original retailer, Alexander Scott, Glasgow.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
