Small George II walnut secretaire chest
This Small walnut secretaire chest was made in the George II period.
The chest is of a lovely small size with the 3 graduated oak lined drawers that are below the full width secretaire drawer.
It stands on straight bracket feet.
The desk interior is fitted a writing surface, and a stepped interior with 5 small drawers.
There is a band of walnut crossbanding to the sides, and herringbone banding with crossbanding to the drawers.
The top has the attractive feature of a double stepped moulding,
The cabinetmaker selected interesting walnut to face the drawers inside the crossbanding.
Owning this chest can only be a pleasure and you will love it in your home.
