A set of early 19th century fire irons in steel with brass finials, consisting a shovel, poker and a pair of tongs, each with a stylized floral finial over a tapering handle, to a slender tapering shaft terminating with a squared poker and a flared shovel with decorative piercing, and also with a pair of hinged tongs with flattened off grippers, English circa 1830.
Condition: Excellent, all three pieces are in very good condition with no damage or repairs and are all in good usable condition, the brass finials are all present and correct, the steel has a great colour and patina, with the lovely silky feel of old steel. Overall they are a fine set of fire irons.
