This is a most attractive floral Bakhtiari carpet which dates from around the early 19th century. The strawberry lattice field of stylised plants is centred by a floral ivory medallion and framed by indigo spandrels and floral borders. The carpet has an excellent colour palette which retains great strength of colour and is beautifully hand woven in wool with good detail to the design. The carpet is in excellent order.
