Description

An absolutely stunning antique French amboyna and rosewood escritoire writing desk. This was made in France, we would date it from around the 1910-20’s period.

It is beautifully designed and is of amazing quality. The amboyna and rosewood grain patterns are gorgeous, this has gilt bronze ormolu mounts of the highest quality. It stands on cabriole legs and has a polished back, so can be used as a free standing item. The main drawer opens to reveal a leather topped writing surface, with additional storage space beneath. There are also two small drawers above the main writing surface.

We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb for its age.
