FAQs

Iron bedsteads gained immense popularity during the Victorian era due to advancements in industrial manufacturing, offering a hygienic and durable alternative to traditional wooden beds.

These frames are typically constructed from heavy cast and wrought iron, frequently featuring brass detailing, hand-poured joint connections, and structural support bars.

Authentic pieces often display hand-threaded screws, characteristic surface wear, minor casting irregularities, and heavier weight compared to modern reproductions.

Pair the dark metal framework with neutral linen bedding, natural wood flooring, and minimalist accessories to create a balanced contrast between historic character and modern simplicity.

Dust the surface regularly with a soft dry cloth and avoid harsh chemical cleaners to protect the original finish and prevent oxidation.
