An exceptional antique Sarouk rug, handwoven circa 1900 with a classical floral medallion on a lovely terracotta field and indigo border. Finely woven with great wool and fabulous secondary colours, particularly the greens, pinks and golds in the field.
Size: 1.95m x 1.31m (6ft 5in x 4ft 4in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. Small area of wear on outer border, barely visible (see photos). Very slight loss to end borders, secured (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
