A fine quality English antique-walnut, 2 drawer chest with feather banded top and drawer fronts, original handles and locks, upon cabriole legs and dating circa 1710, Queen Anne.
An elegant Queen Anne, early 18th century English 2 drawer chest in excellent structural and cosmetic condition, recently back from gentle conservation at our workshop and presenting to a super standard.
A handsome hall chest of splendid proportion, for a drawing room, study, bedroom etc.., versatile furniture piece for day rooms or bedrooms, with good depth, height and width, generous scale with an established presence.
The chest is arranged with 2 drawers, featuring walnut veneer with feather banding and original handles, the veneer shows a timeworn patination with areas of historic lifting of veneer, no evidence of losses evident the veneer is very stable. The top has matching feather banding to the drawer fronts, it is possible the chest is the original lower section of a possible chest on chest configuration that was later adapted to this more practical size.
