Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Regency era.
The top is a single piece of beautiful mahogany veneer with no splits, it is cross banded and has string inlay. There are two long central drawers that are flanked by cupboard doors. The drawers are brass edged and with with exotic wood cock beading. To the top is an original brass rail back and this Gillows antique sideboard stands on lovely reeded and turned legs. In excellent, very original condition, a superb original colour, all the original handles are present and stamped by the maker Gillows of Lancaster and London.
