Mersham Manor Antiques has dated this piece to the Regency era.
c.1815.
The top of rectangular rounded corner form, having an inset red gold-tooled leather writing surface, over two mahogany lined drawers of fine dove-tail construction with turned handles, brass locks and escutcheons.

Beautifully decorated acanthus carved corners.
To the reverse are two dummy drawers. The useable drawers are particularly long, almost the whole depth of the table, so do give a good amount of storage.

Standing on ring turned tapering supports, with the original brass castors.
In excellent antique condition. There are historical knocks and bumps to the top edges of the table, which have created the wonderful character and rich glowing patina to this quality writing table. Shown in the many pictures. The red leather top is newly fitted, so is unused.

Replacement escutcheons.
Very solid, sturdy, strong and robust.
The dimensions are.
Height-73.5cm Height to underside of the table-58.2cm.
Width-106cm.
Depth-91cm.
