Wmf Britannia Metal Tazza

Description

A fine quality WMF Britannia metal tazza. The piece is beautifully modelled and sculpted with a wonderful large sunflower surrounded by thistles. The design is placed asymmetrically on the tazza opposed by a small dragonfly on the rim. The piece is in good untouched condition with some wear and slight knocks. The tazza has the rare early WMFB mark which stands for the Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik company name and Britannia metal which was thier fine quality alloy. The whole has a great Aesthetic or early Art Nouveau period look and is a fine and interesting piece of early WMF metalwork. C.1890.
