Antique Ersari Turkmen torba with scarce floral rosette & Chodor ertmen gul design.

Circa 1870.

This is an interesting torba which belongs to a well documented group of Ersari weavings from the 2nd half of the 19th century. The torba has a floral rosette / Chodor ertmen gul design on a red/brown field. The simple border design is most unusual.

The torba is in excellent condition with slight wear and good pile, it has a very soft floppy handle.
