The turquoise to green tone border colour is a beautiful dye and with the golds, pale blues, indigos and greens used for the floral motifs the whole balance of the carpet is quite wonderful. Tabriz are famous for producing finely woven carpets, since the 15th century. This early 20th century example uses designs from ancient Tabriz carpets and is in good condition with minimal wear.
