Antique Welsh Bureau Cabinet.

18th century
Description

An 18th century Welsh oak bureau cabinet. The top with moulded cornice above raised panel doors cross banded in walnut with inlaid holly and bog oak stars, which open to reveal an interior with fitted shelves. The base with fall front and fitted interior, also inlaid with stars matching those on the top, above one shallow drawer with lopers either side, two short and two long drawers all cross banded in walnut with original brass handles, standing on short bracket feet. Fine colour and patina, the base has replaced backboards otherwise in good order. Merionethshire Circa 1750.
