Chuval were large storage bags used by the nomads to store goods in; and place around the inside of the yurt, they were also used on the backs of camels to transport goods.The chuval is of the 9 gul format, with nine large chuval guls on a good madder red ground, note the rams horns to each central quarter of the guls. The secondary gul is the Kizil Ayak 'tshemtshe' gul. The main border design is often associated with Ersari carpets and rugs..
