The bureau is superbly carved from solid oak, it has a carved fall and gallery which has a very attractively shaped top, the 4 long drawers have carved cats faces and if you are brave enough to put your hand into their mouths they make jolly good handles, all the drawers run well
This is a good old piece of furniture, it is in pretty good condition there are a few minor stains on the upper surface and some surface scratching but there is nothing structurally wrong with the piece
The desk stands 44” high, 36” wide and it is 19” deep
