Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It is of lovely quality, standing on tapered legs and brass casters. There is an inset leather writing surface with tooled edges and cross banding around the edges. There is also inlaid banding around the drawer fronts, as well as the side and back panels. The drawers have high quality brass handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints. This is nicely finished on the back, so it can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some minor wear here and there remaining beneath the polish here and there.
