A superb antique burr walnut Carlton House desk, made in England and dating from around the 1890-1910 period.

This is of outstanding quality with many lovely features. It is a great size, with lots of storage space in the curved upper section and lower drawers. It stands on tapered legs with brass casters, there is an inset leather writing surface which slides out to increase the work space. There is a pierced brass upper gallery and high quality brass handles. Inside the upper section on either end, there are secret hidden doors to additional compartments inside, hard to see in the images. This has a finished back, and looks amazing from all angles.

The burr walnut grain patterns and colour tones are stunning, we have had this re-polished and the condition is excellent for its age.
