Antique Small Georgian Country Oak Bureau Desk C1780 W6262/14.2

Description

Lovely small antique georgian country oak bureau and dating from around 1780. It has a fall front with brass escutcheon which opens to reveal a very nice interior with which has a shaped frieze above a small central door with brass escutcheon and secret column drawers to either side and with small drawers and pigeon holes. To the base there are three long graduating drawers all of which are pine lined with original brass handles and escutcheons. It stands on bracket feet.

Measures:39" high X knee height 28" X 18" deep X 35" wide

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the nut brown oak and oozes the charm and character of the georgian country oak period
