Description

North west persia.

Early 20th century heriz runner with three scarcer "lenkoran crab" motifs dominating the central navy blue/black field.

So named because if you look at them sideways on they resemble crabs as in images 3 to 5.

Has a soft terracotta/apricot and salmon pink colours with a more unusual light pea green to two of the background crabs and middle border.

With waring & gillow label to reverse.

Has been copiously hand bath washed and de-dusted,last images,plenty of images to peruse.

Good overall even pile throughout. Minor fringes,side cords good. Overall a super antique furnishing runner.

Size is 10 foot 2 inches by 3 foot 2 inches. 311cm by 96cm. At widest points. Fringes not measured in size. Lustrous wool pile hand knotted onto cotton foundations.

Weighs 11.4kg. U.k post £25.

Price a very reasonable £995 gbp. Bank transfers,discussions,etc all welcomed.
