Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
It is of superb quality and is a very useful item.
The upper pull down writing area is nicely fitted out, with an inset leather writing surface and additional pigeon hole storage. There are stunning burr walnut grain patterns, this stands on cabriole legs with acanthus leaf carving at the knees.
We have recently had this stripped and re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
