Description

A good quality C19th Chinese reverse painting on glass of large size, brightly coloured with depicting dignitaries, ladies and attendants in a courtyard with a building to the left and rural mountain scene beyond. With moulded wood frame and ornate bronze hanging brackets to the top. In very good condition.

H: 59 cm (23 1/4")

W: 92 cm (36 1/4")

D: 2 cm (0 13/16")

67cm high including hanging brackets. Provenance; from a private collecting of Anthony McGreevy and purchased from Christie’s on 23/03/1987. Circa 1880
